we are compensated RM2,200 per person for our travel delay of 86 hours.

let this be a lesson - always purchase travel insurance, the cost is very very minimal compared to other travel expenditure like air tickets or accommodation. if i’m not mistaken, we paid fifty odd malaysian ringgit for our travel insurance.

i know of friends who are in the opinion that it is a waste of money, especially since they were only travelling for less than a week.

we were also suppose to travel less than a week.

it is an insignificantly small sum to pay. especially so, when you need the medical cover.
