a good hearty meal bonds

last night saw me and four other ex-housemates come together for a good dose of seafood meal in ampang. haven't seen them in months, haven't heard from them in months.

we've all stayed together for so many years, it doesn't matter how long we have not seen or not spoken to each other - once together its back to those days where we sat on (not second, not third but)fourth-hand sofas watching second hand tvs. was great to see them again, we're still as rowdy as ever. these bunch are friends forever, they accept me for all my stinking anti-social behaviour and probably love me for it too.

what i'm trying to say is, housemates are friends with a totally different level of intimacy/friendship/trust/etc. i can't explain it eloquently. we've gone through tonnes together : defended each other, quarelled, took sides, cooked, shared clothes, plucked eyebrows, danced like lesbian sluts, helped to avoid phone calls from occasional clingy suitors, were brutally honest with each other ("you look like shit in that", "you fat already cannot wear this lah"), travelled.

tonnes of memories. we came together last night for a meal, guffawed like a bunch of crazy hyenas, and went home promising to meet again in nov.
