music music music

i'm in the midst of sourcing out another streaming radio like radioblog to be hosted on eatingchaos. i miss sharing music. i need something that doesnt drain my bandwidth as much as radioblog did.

my recent listens are mostly female : rachel yamagata with her sultry smokey voice crooning out dark tunes, k t tunstall and her catchy pop melodies, cat power's haunting laments, tristan prettyman's laid back songs that are so acoustically slick, and stacey kent's pixie-ish jazz renditions.

what would i do without music?

i need more new music.

must you be so fanatic about them?

here are some suggestions:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - show your bones

camera Obscura - lets get out country

Keren Ann - Nolitta

Cibelle - the shine of dried electric leaves

Juana Molina - Son

Zero 7 - The Garden

Isobel campbell & Mark Lanegan - The Ballad of Broken Seas

Be your own pet - be your own pet ( for a full one adolescent punk blast...great angsty stuff)

have been out of touch as well. but try gnarls barkley - crazy. heard it once on the radio and was hooked. SO unlike anything else on mainstream local radio. I think Red.fm played it first and it was top of charts in UK or something. whatever. it kicks.
