green faced lion
every year the lion dance troupes all around sabah congregate at the kota kinabalu padang a week before chinese new year to showcase their talents. this is when the elusive green faced lion monster makes its annual appearance. my brother was there and i asked him to get me some pictures. here it is then, as a follow up to my previous post about the different types of lion dances.

this lion is rare in kk, many people go to this event just to look at it, if anybody was in the event, u can notice that it has all the reporters attention first!

Greetings,
I am very impressed with the Green Faced Lion or Hokkian Lion. It certainly is a scary looking lion. I have seen it in KL and have heard the drumming. I wonder if you could recommend anywhere these Lions may be purchased? I am located in Boston and help out with Gund Kwok an Asian Women's Lion & Dragon Dance Troupe. It would be nice to be able to perform the Green Faced Lion in Boston. Check out our web site at www.gundkwok.org
