the "real" warehouse sales

i was about to casually dismiss an email i received about some "real warehouse sales" when suddenly a single logo captivated my attention - The Book Clearance. what what what? i've never heard of this brand or store or whatever. and eventhough this warehouse sales was geared more towards clothes, apparels and gadgets, my bookcurious self just couldnt stay at home.

i had to go.

there was a small section dedicated to books, right behind everything else. i took a quick look and recognised that the books were leftovers from the recent times warehouse sales. even the stickers were the same (pet peeve - i hate stickers that leaves a mark on books, hate it).

again, i left with a hole in my pocket. what i budgeted for my bookshelf (much needed) is splurged on books (better choice methinks!). here's what i bought:

  1. the world's greatest art : turner, whistler and monet (for mum)- RM15
  2. astrology dictionary (for mum) - RM15
  3. imazighen : the vanishing traditions of berber women - RM45
  4. the secret language of stars and planets : a visual key to celestial mysteries - RM15
  5. qing porcelain for the imperial court - RM35
  6. adult origami (for nev) - RM10
  7. the complete guide to world mysticism (for v) - RM30
  8. arts of the tang court - RM23
  9. xi'an : china's ancient capital - RM37
  10. bedouin : nomads of the desert - RM20
  11. the book that changed my life (for oshun) - RM8
